FELLOWSHIP NEWS
MOTUEKA CHURCH OF CHRIST
374 High Street

Pastor: Tony Barnett - 528 9795

Welcome again to the time of Worship that we share together today as the family of God.  We have an extended time together today as we meet for a pot luck lunch and a 'mid-year' meeting as a special part of God's family.

This afternoon we will consider for awhile how we have been going and the direction that we are heading in over the next few months.  With Norma and I away on Sabbatical there will be a lot of things that will need various people to extend themselves in and take responsibility in.  I'm excited by this, as I believe there are many people here who can not only do the work that will need to be done, but also do a brilliant job of it.  God uses us all as we step out in faith for His Glory.  He uses, as his Word says, foolishness to confound the wise and weakness to confound strength.  He uses those who are willing to offer themselves to Him as 'Living Sacrifices.'

It is also a good time to enjoy one another's friendship, to pray, to thank God for where He has brought us from and is taking us to.  Praise God for this day, for the time we will have together, for the future.

Blessings from,
Tony and Norma.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ron B. and his family at this time.  Ron's wife Janet died last Sunday after a very brave battle with cancer.  The funeral on Wednesday was a reflection of Janet's life as a child of God.  People rejoiced at the release and peace she now has but still want to place their arms around Ron and the family at a time of loss.
