We trust each of you had a refreshing holiday break both in body and spirit and are eager to work together as a church in the giftings God has given you for 1999.

Thank you message from Harry & Esther C.
We would just like to say a big thank you for the gifts and so many lovely cards & well wishes that you gave to us, also to those folk who were able to come and share our special day with us.  We have such a wonderful Saviour who cares for us all and we count our blessings that He has given this opportunity to allow us to reach this milestone of sixty years of marriage.  May God bless you all.

REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS THIS WEEK:
* The G. family on the passing of Gladys - a member of this church for many years with her husband Stan.  Our sympathy and love go out to them.
* M. Stuart who had a fall.
* J. Fenemor undergoing tests.
* G. Rua in Dunedin with her father who has a brain tumour.
* S. McKay - for recovery from an ear operation.
* E. and R. Partridge and family in the passing of both her parents in England.
* The families and friends of the two girls who died in a tragic accident on Monday.  May God comfort and strengthen them at this time.
* Our young people as they begin a new year at school and those who teach them.

GOD IS YOUR EVERYTHING
From 'Just Abide' by Janet Fenemor

God is your SHEPHERD
He is your WAY
God is your FRIEND
From day to day.
God is your WISDOM
He is your HOPE
God is your COUNSELLOR
When you can't cope.

God is your PROTECTOR
He is your LIFE
God is your SECURITY
Through the storms and strife.
God is your SHELTER
He is your GUIDE
When in Him
You abide.

God is your PROVIDER
He is your JOY
God is your PEACE
The world can't destroy.
God is your HELP
He is your SHIELD
God is your DEFENDER
As to Him you yield.
