TIME TO SAY GOODBYE TO THE SCHELBACH'S

Today is pastor Darryl, Kaye, Corey, Jai and Jasmine's last Sunday with us before they leave for Australia.  It doesn't seem 16 months ago that you unpacked your cases, and now you have them packed again.
We as a church want to wish you every blessing and fullness in Jesus' mighty name for your move, and ministry that God has for you as a family, and individually in the days ahead.  We from the Eldership, Board and Members here say "thank you" for your input into our lives.
So now to HIM who is able to keep you from falling and present you before His glorious presence without fault and with joy (Jude 21-24) ... Bless you heaps and heaps.

WELCOME
Welcome to our guests.  We extend a friendly Christian welcome and trust that you are encouraged and uplifted as you worship with us today.

We rejoice this morning in the Baptism of Fiona B. as she publicly proclaims her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  We pray God's anointing and encouragement to Fiona and her family as she makes her stand of faith.

THANK YOU
Robbie and Dianne T. would like to thank the church family for the lovely flowers sent to them on the sad loss of a loved Mother.  We did appreciate it.

Thank you to all the people who provided food for the Allred funeral on Wednesday.

Lesley and Bob
have had the joy of having their daughter Lynley staying with them, while home from England.
We hear that she had some wonderful news to share with them.

Loving sympathy
is extended to the Johnson families' after the sudden loss of Graham Allred last week.

NOTES FROM THE BOARD MEETING
-Gweneth D. is now doing any reporting to the CHRISTIAN newspaper (so if you would like anything put in about what's been happening in your life or group let her know.  She needs information to be able to send off.)
-Diana G. is the editor of our Newsletter now.  She also needs your "happenings".  If no news there's no newsletter!!
-Average weekly offerings for May were $1212.00
-Zimbabwe appeal total to date is $5073.00 "Wow!"  Enough to finish off a church and well on the way to supporting a Pastor for a year.  The total given by next Sunday 27th June will be sent away, so if you want to bless brothers and sisters in Christ even more, pop in your gift marked "Zimbabwe" next Sunday.  Well done!
-From the final Pastor's Report from Darryl to the church (Full report on notice board)
Matters of concern were discussed and the need for prayer and action is asked by each member to help, namely:
1. The need in the community to carry on with Bible in Schools, as there has been no replacement teacher for their class yet,
2. Youth Bible Study.  Here again the lack of people willing to take on the challenge could see this vital work fall by the wayside.
Merion O. is picking up the Ladies Bible Study leadership.  Please give her your encouragement.
Other matters arising at the meeting were:
There is to be a Working Bee at the church manse on Saturday morning 26th June.  There will be a task for everyone.  The Manse will be available to rent after that, (on a month by month basis), so if you know of anyone requiring it please contact one of the board members.
It has been noted that the starting time of our morning service is getting later and later and an effort is going to be made to start on time.  Please be here earlier if you can.
5pm Fellowship times will start from the 27th June.  The first will be a soup and toast tea.
The Eldership talked about not racing into employing a new Pastor straight away as it will take time to settle after Darryl has left and we are wanting the opportunity for fellowship members to use their gifts, talents whether budding or developed.  (Don't hold back now!)  Already a roster of 8 people have offered to help in the preaching slots.
The Elders have asked Fred King to act as co-ordinator of the church, until such time as an appointment can be made in the future.  Telephone calls for needs and requests are to be made to the Elders, (their phone numbers are in the phoning list). 'Call minder' will be on the church number.
A letter was received from Barry Smith (a renowned Speaker-Evangelist) to confirm he would be available on the 3rd to 5th September for meetings.
Next board meeting 13th July.
