Y 2 K = YIELD 2 KING JESUS.

From the Word for Today, Sat. January 1
I have set a door before thee, an open door... -- Revelation 3:8

Today (this year) begins a new opportunity to put some things in place in your life.  Don't carry the defeating patterns of your past into this new year.  Here are six daily suggestions:
1. Pray - no matter how busy you are.
If you do, God promises to direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:6)
2. Read His word.
Jesus said, "You can't live by bread alone, you must have my word." (Matthew 4:4)
3. Tell your family you love them.
Read your Bible and see how often God says it to you.
4. Open yourself to new relationships.
God says, "I will bless thee... and thou shalt be a blessing." (Genesis 12:2)
5. Keep yourself in top shape.
When God needed someone to lead Saul of Tarsus to Christ, Ananaias said "I am here Lord." (Acts 9:10)  Be ready and available.
6. Maintain a positive attitude.
Dominate your turf with faith.  When the conversation turns negative, steer it back to "whatever things are of good report" (Philippians 4:8)
God says, "I have set before thee an open door..." (Revelation 3:8)
Walk through that door and make this the greatest year of your life!

Announcing... Hazel & Max
Married for 52 years, CONGRATULATIONS !!!!
Last week Max & Hazel spent time at the Lakes celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary.  As a church, we rejoice with you and appreciate the influence you have on our lives and the role model you set.

And then it's a time to say Good bye to Alison Y.
This is the last Sunday that Alison will share with us on a regular basis.  Alison will be leaving at the end of this month to go on a six week holiday to Vietnam.  She will then take up residence in Christchurch.
Alison has been an active member of our congregation and has been with us for many years.  She has played a major part in the fellowship especially in the catering and fund-raising activities, and has had a key role and a genuine interest in the women's work.  You will be sadly missed in many areas Alison.
We wish you God's richest blessings for you and your family as you begin your new life.  May He guide you and comfort you and keep you in the palm of His hand.

STRAIGHT AFTER THE SERVICE WE WILL BE HAVING A MORNING TEA FAREWELL WHEN YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SAY A PERSONAL GOODBYE TO ALISON.

Wanted
