28 January and 4 February 2001
Welcome to our Father's House.  We trust you find this a great time of sharing together around the Lord's Table and in His Word, and enjoying fellowship with the Saints.  If we can assist you today please make your request known to the door stewards or one of the Elders.  If you have no church home and you wish to consider this as: "the place of the planting of the Lord" then please see Fred King, our church co-ordinator.

From the Word: As for me & my house... we will serve the Lord!
"...Choose you this day whom you will serve." Joshua 24:15

Work on these four things:
1. Begin and maintain daily Bible reading.  Could you run your car on empty?  Or write cheques without making deposits?  No!  Make time daily for God's Word.  Jesus said, "Now are ye clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you" (John 15:3).  It's your protection!
2. Set a specific prayer time each day!  Mornings are always best for me because I'm alone on my treadmill.  If I wait until later, I usually don't pray.  David said, "...early will I seek thee..." (Psalm 63:1).  Put prayer on the top of your list of priorities and fight to keep it there.
3. Become a reader.  I'm astounded at how many ministers don't like to read.  Can you imagine a champion swimmer who doesn't like the water?  Readers are leaders.  They stay current - otherwise they're out of touch.  Solomon said, "...but through knowledge shall the just be delivered." (Proverbs 11:9)
4. Start speaking faith filled words.  Words create pictures in your mind.  They breathe life into everything, so start saying what God says.  The fact may be that things look impossible, but the truth is "...with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26).  But you say "I'm just being realistic."  Who's reality?  If God says it, that settles it - so stand on it!
Work on these things and remember, God loves you and He's committed to your success.

Well done and a "BIG THANK YOU" to those who were able to go as their support team.
