Sunday 2 January 2011
Happy New Year!
Hello everyone and welcome to our church service today.
If you are visiting with us we extend a special welcome to you.

Sunday Morning
10am - Pastor Brent will be speaking.
Be sure to stay for a coffee and chat after the service.

Note:  There will be no evening services here over summer.

Special Message from the Senior Pastors:

Dear Church Family,
This Christmas we send our love and blessings to you all.

We especially thank the vast number of people who have given of their time and energy to serve in the church over the past 12 months.  There are far too many to name individually but what can be said is that your contribution has made our church, our community and our lives a better place.  You all have busy lives but have generously volunteered and so we say thank you!

We want you to take some time out over the holiday season to unwind, refresh and take it easy because, already, there's an excitement in people's hearts about 2011.  We don't want to give too much away but next year we'll be kicking off with a great new Sunday series on finding and maintaining emotional health.  We want our people to be set up for success in life.  Society today is riddled with stress and busyness and this has a habit of robbing us from being emotionally healthy individuals ...  You'll be inspired, equipped and stronger to do life well!

Over Christmas, consider the things that are of importance, like family, friends, joy and laughter ... forgiveness and peace.  We pray you will find these things this Christmas.  We are a blessed people when we open up our lives to Christ the Lord and acknowledge Him as our Saviour, because the course of our future history is changed for time and eternity!

Where are you heading this Christmas?  Take time to ponder because the best is yet to come when you make Him your Lord.

God bless you church,
Brent and Tracey Pickworth.

Coming Up:
Sunday 9th January at the Murray's
Join the Murrays next Sunday for family fun, volleyball and a BBQ dinner.  If your children have motorbikes or quads feel free to bring them to ride them on the track; ladies to relax with afternoon tea on the deck in the sun.  Bring BBQ meat, salads and your own drinks.  Also camp chairs for adults just in case.
3pm at the Murray's, 95 Strachan Road, Orinoco.

Christmas Focus 2010
The church's Annual Christmas Appeal focus has been 'Giving life to rural India.'  This is a TEAR Fund initiative supporting 4,000 tribal families in 150 villages in rural India.  We ask that you prayerfully consider giving to this appeal.  The offering will be open until the end of January.  If using tithe envelopes, please indicate how much you want to go to this appeal on the envelope.  Thank you.
