Prayer
"This, then, is how you should pray: 'Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.   Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.   And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'"
                                                                       -Matthew 6:9-13 NIV
Welcome
Hi everyone.  Come along to our church service today at 374 High Street.  If you will be visiting today we warmly welcome you and if you are a regular then it would be great to see you.

Sunday Morning
10am - We hope you enjoy our service this morning.  Pastor Brent will be stepping out of his role as senior pastor at the end of this year.  Brent believes that God is calling him to a season of personal renewal and rejuvenation.  As a church, we honour Brent and Tracey for where they have led us as a church while being our senior pastors, and we will celebrate that journey well over the month of December.  I will take over pastor Brent's role and will become senior leader heading into the new year.  My wife Kathryn and I are very excited, and feel very privileged to be able to front His church heading into 2012.
Last week I spoke a message that gave a small glimpse of where I believe God is leading us as a church.  This is available on our main church website www.motuekacoc.org.nz for download.  Matthew 6:9 says, "His Kingdom come and His will be done".  This famous piece of Scripture has become my passion.  His Kingdom (heaven) here on earth, that is simply His will.  It is going to be a challenging but exciting time ahead as we set our hearts on seeking God and His purposes for our community -- Motueka.
Bless you all today as we gather together to give praise, worship, honour and glory to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Please note that we will also be taking up our collection of grocery items with a Christmas theme today for Foodbank Sunday.  Elly will text a reminder about this to cellphone users.  Please come prepared.

Blessings
Pastor Shane Murray

Coming Up:
Christmas Eve Service
Every year on December 25th we come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  Often we celebrate the birth and the rest of the story is forgotten.  What was the reason for Jesus coming to this earth?  There is a well known saying 'Don't forget the reason for the season.'
This Christmas eve our popular service is called 'Shine Your Light'.  We are going to celebrate not only the birth of Christ, but also 'the reason for the season.'  John 8:12 says 'When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, 'I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.''

Two Services
Our Christmas eve service is going to be fantastic this year.  Due to the large numbers we have attend each year, we are going to be running the full service on Sunday the 18th of December at 7pm as well as at 8pm on the 24th.  We hope that you can join with us!

ALC Graduation
Our ALC interns are graduating from Annesbrook Leadership College next Sunday the 11th at 5pm over at Annesbrook Church.  We would like to say a huge congratulations to all the interns for their hard work and commitment over the year and hope that it has been beneficial for you all.  We encourage the church to support our interns by attending the graduation service.  There will be no Encounter Service next Sunday.

Shared Lunch
On Sunday the 18th of December we are going to have a shared pot luck lunch here at church as a send off for Brent and Tracey, Michael and Ally and all the others who are leaving us at the end of this year.  Make sure you take note of this date.  We would love to see you all there.

Mums for Mums
Mums for Mums has now finished for the year.  However, all those mums who would like to are welcome to join us for an informal get together from 10am on Wednesday the 7th of December at Moffatt Street playground.  Bring your own nibbles, drink, rugs and relax a couple of hours away with friends...  If you want to reveal who you are to your secret sister, bring a single flower and present it to her!!!  The wet weather plan is to meet at T.O.A.D. Hall.

Wednesday Worship
This week is the final Wednesday Worship for the year.  Please meet at church by 10am to get transport for the social Wednesday Worship trip.
