December 2012 - January 2013
Welcome along to our Sunday 10am services at 374 High Street, Motueka.

It is the time of year for a well deserved break with our families and friends; a time to be refreshed and recharged for the New Year ahead.
As we do this, it is good to take time to reflect and thank our God for the year that is now gone; remembering that with hindsight it is always great to look back at the ever-changing seasons of our lives.
Our God is our God throughout life's seasons; seasons that are enjoyed and seasons that can be really tough(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8) But in order for a new season to start, first the old season must end.  What season are you in?  What will bring this season to an end?
Great questions to ask as we take time to reflect and to hear that still small voice of His Spirit who leads and guides us through our lives.

Bless you church as we approach a new season in God.

Please Give to Our January 2013 PEACE ON EARTH Appeal
"For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders.  And He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  Of the greatness of His government and peace there will be no end."    - Isaiah 9:6-7
TEAR Fund - Christian Action
Over the month of January, we will be taking up a special offering for the TEAR Fund Peace on Earth appeal.  The money will be going directly to the Holy Land and Niger (in Sahel region of West Africa).  Without the Prince of Peace, Jesus, involved with every detail, there can be no peace that lasts in these countries.  TEAR Fund is already working alongside Christian partners in these countries and has some carefully planned strategies.  Specifically, in the Holy Land they are:
* Purchasing medicine
* Providing access to surgeries
* Contributing towards essential medical needs
* Assisting young Palestinians and Israelis to combat entrenched hatred that fuels the conflict
* Developing future leaders focused on peace initiatives
In Niger they are:
* Providing emergency food assistance
* Taking care of refugees
* Maintaining food security for vulnerable households
* Helping to safeguard livelihoods for countless families
* Improving nutrition and food availability
More information will be on hand at the church info desk or you can visit TEAR Fund's website at www.tearfund.org.nz
We will have our own offering envelopes for all donations.  Donations will then be sent together to TEAR Fund along with a top up from our church's International Outreach Fund.  Please consider praying about and giving to this appeal.

Notices:
* Weekday Morning Prayer Meetings
Jarred has agreed to start weekday morning prayer meetings at church again over January, commencing this week.  Please see Jarred for further details.
